MABALACAT CITY–As part of their social responsibility, officials of a shopping mall here have joined environmental groups in a tree planting activity.
Officials from SM City Clark (SMCC) led by Assistant Mall Manager Ana Datu have joined Green Tags Environmental Guardians and Madapdap High School in a recent tree planting activity.
The groups planted hundreds of fruit bearing seedlings in a resettlement in Barangay Madapdap here.
In an interview, Datu said the tree planting activity is their way of doing their part for environmental conservation.
SM Supermalls has been known as an advocate of environmental conservation. Some of their efforts are the promotion of reusable shopping bags to avoid the use of too much plastics among shoppers. ●Charlene A. Cayabyab
